new motor??
 

Alright, I'm sure that there has been previous posts about this, so sorry if this one is a repeat.
Last Saturday my 8 stalled 3 times w/in 5 minutes...so I had it taken it in to the dealership, they had it 4 days and could find nothing wrong with it. i've had problems with rattling noises up front and rough idling, and they've looked at it before b/c of this. so in the 4 days they had it, they drove it 28 miles and could find nothing wrong w/ it. i get it back drive to my parking lot and the next day drive it only 10 minutes and check engine light flashing and i thought the front end was going to fall off.
i was pissed!! so after chewing them out and getting the lovely sonota has a loaner i've decided to ask intelligent people what to do. ...so here i am
i've heard that mazda is replacing motors in 04 and 05 8s, but i'm not sure. the dealer thinks i'm making that part up. also i've heard about them putting on a second oil cooler...they think i'm making that up to.

anyways if you could help me out that would be great!!

sounds like a 'tard dealer, there have been several motor replacements. got another mazda dealer you can drive to?

Wow, they do sound retarded.

yeah they are pretty dumb, the closest dealer is 4 hours away. also i had college break, so my car is 3 hrs away from me...they will be towing it to me when it's finally fixed.
when i drove back fri they had about 10 other 8s on the lot and they swear up and down they have the 3rd best mazda tech in the nation...ya that's bs
