So as of yesterday I am the proud owner of a 2009 velocity red mica r3 rx-8. I recently became tired of automatics and spent a day with my dad test driving manuals. I narrowed my decision to the mazda and a 2006 STI impreza. The impreza went like a scalded dog and was very fun, but the mazda did the same thing just a tad slower only it has an awesome interior. Especially the two front recaro's. I am alot more comfortable in the mazda, it feels like a sports car as well. I am thoroughly pleased with it so far! It was also significantly cheaper in price and insurance.

I just got the same car a little over a month ago and I LOVE it!! lol You made a good decision! :-D Funny how your aux key is missing as well :-P Take my advice and get one asap because if the fob dies/breaks/gets washed in your pants your car is undriveable :-/ I got the dealer to eat the $97 cost of the blank but I had to pay the $90 to get it cut and programmed. Big relief though knowing i'm not skating on thin ice anymore lol Congrats though man!!

Congrats to your R3, I've seen a few where I'm at, they look hot loving the interior as well. Your gonna be so happy with your 8, you probably will never want to sell it, at least I am with mine. Let see some pics with mods in the future

 

its a S2, theres not much

hopefully you sold those dank *** wheels.

 

First mods are a drop w/ spacers and a short throw shifter. I'm gonna de-badge and paint that space on the back side of the deck lid between the tail lights black. And just received my "zoom-zoom" polished license plate frame in the mail last night so that's going on. I'm adoring the car though. It didn't take long to realize the car just wants to run. Thx for the congrats.

 

And my 06 grand prix was quite high. I was planning on dropping it real soon, but then this happened. Lol. That car wasn't slow by any means though. It's a tad quicker than the 8. But not anywhere near as much fun to drive and handling is night and day.

 

Interesting how you have a "Mazda" emblem on the left rear of the trunk. Mine does not.

 

My 04 has the same emblem on the left.
