It finally happened
I had been reading about the "flooding" problems people have always had with these cars and for the past 2 years of having my car it has not happened to me. But it finally did today! But i completely take the blame. I started it up and moved it and shut it right back down. In my defense i was just gettin home from goin out and was just a bit drunk and did not even realize what I was doing at the time because i have ALWAYS made sure i warmed it up before shutting it off in the past. Now I just wonder how long it will take to get it fixed and how much its gonna cost?! Towed to the dealer today (sunday) so they are closed. Hopefully i hear from them tomorrow!

Fact is, the vast majority of owners who don't flood their engine don't find their way to this forum to post a "I didn't flood my engine again" thread. (Though maybe I should start one.)

see, the 8 doesnt like you being drunk and sitting in the driver's seat..... i woul dhave removed the plugs, cleaned them, pulled the appropriate fuse to shut down the fuel added a small amount of oil in the upper plug holes, reinstalled the plugs, and attempted to start the engine. then when the engine started (if it did) reinstall the removed fuse.

Ive started my car in <10 degree weather and accidentally stalled it backing out of my drive way. Imediately started back up without an issue.
Just sayin, havent flooded mine in 4 years of my ownership.

HAHA well it was still under warranty so why not send it to the dealer? And it is now fixed. New battery...new spark plugs....new air filter....and most of it was covered so all is well now and i will NEVER turn it off without it being warmed up again! HAHA
