Need some help
Hey guys! i need some help
so basically i switched out my 06 interior for a 04 interior a while ago. After the swap i found out that my passenger side airbag got turned off. So eventually, i went into the dealership and got it checked out, turns out i'm missing the seat sensor seat tract detector that 06 models have. and its gonna cost 1400 dollars to fix. My question is, i remember reading somewhere that you can install a resistor to trick the airbag system into thinking that someone is sitting on the seat, therefore the air bag will always be activated. I'd rather save that 1400 and buy a pair of bride carbon seats or something. Would anyone know how to do this? thanks c0ld |

Kinda off topic, but what exactly was the difference between the 06 interior and the 04 interior?
|
i think 06 and up interiors don't have the ribbed sides, instead they have leather like the rest of the seats. Also the 06 and up seats dont have the plastic backing. The seat pocket is behind the driver side as opposed to the passenger side on the 04. The seat pocket for the 06 and up is also leather, while the 04 is mesh.
I've also had my friend who works in fashion tell me that 06 interior was definitely real leather, while she was skeptical about the 04 The front door panels are also slightly different. The 06 and ups offer slightly more space in the pockets. |
So... why would you want the 04 interior then? Didn't want "real" leather?

well i didnt know that before, plus the chappral color was pretty

I like the 06+ interior better....
I think the textured stuff was rubberized leather--that's what Mazda said I thought. I do like the soft backs of the newer seats though. |
