Need help with my buying decision
I've been looking at the RX-8 for a while now. I'm looking at buying one with 20-40k miles on it. Is it a good idea, and what kind of problems should I expect around that kind of milage? Any kind of help will be appreciated

Besides the mileage, the model year and original purchase date matter. Up through '06 there was a 4 year, 50 month bumper to bumper warranty. After that it was 3/36. All of them have a 5 year 60K driveline warranty, and 8 year 100K internal engine part warranty. The clock starts with the original purchase, and the warranty goes with the car.
Get a Carfax, of course, for whatever that's worth. Also contact a dealer or Mazda NA with the VIN and they can tell you which recalls and Mazda services have been done. Important recalls through '06 models are 4206f and MSP16. You really should not expect any problems with any car around that mileage...but used cars can always carry a thrill factor. Hope you find a good one. Ken |

It's her first post. She hasn't been here long enough to get annoyed. ;)
