if you got to the location that you punch in, it will turn it of itself, or you can press the enter button, and pick delete destenation!
you are all set!

Paul_in_DC 05-25-2006 07:34 AM

By pressing the "Enter" button, you have a number of options displayed. As well as delete destination, another option is to turn the volume to -0- so it's not bleating instructions when you don't want.

The button POS will lock the navi back on your car, while it's on your car press the joystick straight down (as-in IN, not down) and it will bring up a menu, click on delete destination, or detour whatever it is i you want to do.

Make sure you hit POS first, if your cursor isn't on your car it wont give you the delete destination option.

i just figured it out today. push enter button in and select "guidance off". takes 2 secs.

mid-life crisis 05-26-2006 12:08 PM

REAL sports car drivers use MAPS....you know, the paper kind.

(Me...I use a Delorme GPS with my notebook).

:D:

I've done that thinking it would turn off the Nav, but the voice still talks to you and tries to keep you turning towards the entered destination.

The only way is to delete the destination using the technique Paul_in_DC and cleoent mentioned.

Paul_in_DC 05-29-2006 04:00 AM

The funny thing is, did you ever notice the message that comes up when you first turn it on? Something like "Don't look at the map while driving." WTF?!? Of course you look at the map while driving - that's half the fun of using it. :)

That's pretty lame advise.

REAL sports car drivers use carbon fiber maps. Going with paper maps will add at least 20 lbs to the car.
