National Mazda dealer meeting June 12th?
 

My dealer told me that there is a Mazda dealer meeting June 12th in Chicago. That is where they will teach and bring out certain info about the *8* that aren't known yet. Hopefully we will know residuals and lease rates etc... as well. Is this a national meeting or just dealers in Chicagoland? I'm from Chicago so I'm not sure (I probably should have asked). My dealer also all but guaranteed me that the car will be in sometime in June. I wanted to tell him that he was full of it but I didn't. Anyone else get that type of optimism?

I don't know why you'd tell him he was full of it - that is the expected delivery timeframe for the first allocation. I'm expecting mine mid-June.

I'm expecting mid-june too- according to my dealer, my build date is the first week of May. So I expect I'll see it sometime in June, give or take a few weeks. But even so, a few weeks more waiting isn't going to kill me. I'll just let the dealer keep saying June, and maybe he'll be right.

I just wish Mazda would confirm the June Arrival of the first allocation units. I just sold my FD to make way for the 8 and have nothing of my own to get around in. For now I'm just bumming rides from friends but I can't keep it up past June if I want to keep my friends :). If it's going to be later than June I’ll buy a sub $300 beater to get around in. I’ll finish driving it into the ground and trade it in for $10 lol.

Well I hope you guys are right. With all the confusion, or miscommunication, going around I'm not going to keep my hopes up for a June arrival. I hope I'm wrong. I'm expecting more of a lid to late July arrival. Anyone have any info on that June 12th meeting? That may be a trademark day for info about the car.
