my TPM has been blinking?
what does that mean? i know my tires are fully-inflated so i'm not sure whats wrong.
|
you are sure that the tires are fully inflated to what..
and are you sure that you read the owners manual??? the answer might be in that crazy place.. not really sure what that blinking might be, but i would check the manual first. is it beeping and blinkin? that is a tough one. beers  |
Do you have an aftermarket rim/tire set up? It could be the car not being able to communicate with the TPMS.
|
If I remember correctly, blinking means that one or more TPMS is malfunctioning, not working, or it's not there.
If it stays lit and not blink then that means you have low tire pressure. |
^ possible but my aftermarkets dont have the tpms and mine doesnt blink just stays on
|
Although each of our TPMS sensors transmits a signal we only have a single idiot light readout. Therefore, a blinking light indicates one or more of your TPMS sensors is malfunctioning. If you had a steady light then one of your tires has low pressure, or all four of your TPMS sensors are malfunctioning (or in the case of some a/m rims no sensors).
Finding the culprit yourself is problematic but a garage can isolate which signal is not being transmitted. Heck, even my lowly Jeep Patriot has a 4-wheel independent tire pressure readout, why not the '8? btw: I just double checked my memory with my Owner's Manual (2005, pg 5-26) and I was correct; a blinking light indicates a TPMS malfunction. Next time you might want to RTFM! |
