My Shinka has an annoying rattle.
 

It sounds like something is tapping against or around the rear window but I can't see anything loose. Has anyone else had a problem with anything back in that area.? Other than that, I love my car. I read about the mileage some people are getting, but I consistently get 21-22 mpg with mine. Thanks for the help.

Try this on for size:

The rear window latch/lever is not sitting tight and therefore is rattling when the car goes over bumps or rough roads. Just make sure the lever closed tight. If it's still loose, check out this bulletin and try to adjust/retighten the lever:

REAR QUARTER WINDOW GLASS LOCK BECOMES LOOSE

if that doesn't work you can go to the dealership and they can tighten the rear window and door for you...that got rid of my rattle in the rear window :D

Sorry, I meant the back window, not the side windows.

I too had a rattle right off the bat. I came to discover that it was the amplifier on the back deck just below the rear window. One side wasn't tightened all the way and the amplifier rattled anytime I went over some bumps. I looked like a lot of work to get to the screw to tighten so I jamed some double sided tape between the crease and the amplifier and that seems to have taken care of the rattle 99% of the time. I had this rattle for a while too. I discovered that it was the front seat belt buckle rattling against the plastic back of the front passenger seat. I slid the buckle all the way up and no more rattle.
