I installed these last night...
The hardest part about the whole procedure was figuring out how to unplug the stupid fog lights!!
Good thing I didn't have my wire cutters close at hand or I would have cut those little suckers out!

Oh and by the way.... Thanks to all the DIY posts showing me how to remove the front bumper.
I would have never figured out how to this with out your help!

I bought the 'grill' through eBay for under $40 shipped and I bought the
'Rear RX-8 Name Badge' / 'Racing Beat Oil Cooler Screen' from Rosenthal Mazda (they are great!)

Any how.... what do you think?

In my country, you have to put a licence plate, on the back AND front.

So I can't really show off the grill, if I wanted to

Yes 'FullSmoke', it is held in place with zips, at least for now.
The grill shipped with gray zip ties and I don't like the way they look.
The next time I have the front grill off, I'll install hex head stainless steal bolts.
They might slow down a thief from taking my grill....

 

you gotta lose those zips ASAP - it cheapens the grill....

 

yes please loose the zips man or try painting the zips silver or something.

 

$40 bucks buys zip ties - but it looks OK.
