I think what happens with the RX-8 is that we push the pedal down and generate hydraulic pressure, which causes the requisite action throughout the rest of the assembly. The point is that we don't have cables. Further, this happens evey time a performance clutch is installed and why my advice works.

Anyway......to finish off this thread(hopefully).

Dealer installs clutch and flywheel.
Car breaks down on way home and is directly related to the install.

No matter what it turns out to be(and I'd be interested to know), it's obvious that they did something wrong and are responsible to fix it at their cost!

This would include the tow if you can't get it into gear and can't shift.

Yes...........there may be another way to get it there in this condition, but I sure wouldn't do it.

getting ther is no problem my family owns a car transport buisness *full throttle transport* so i can load it up on my trailer and take it there. look around on transporter trucks for full throttle might be lookn at me sometime goin by with a load of cars* but back on subject ya i think they should pay for everything and hopefully its not internal its justa cable or slave cylander idk. but the rattle sounds like its coming from inside the clutch not the pedall but possibly b/c its all messed up its rattling. idk. i just want it fixed w/ no cost to me and fixed fast. so i can put my other parts on.

Recommendation.....put other parts on slowly! By that I mean one at a time, then a few days before the next.
I actually read what you wrote and know you took stuff off to take it in, but I'd just be cautious(depending on what all you took off), with throwing everything back on at once...especially if you mean "new" stuff.

Just my opinion, take it or leave it. Good luck..let us know what the problem turns out to be okay?

ok well update. i get my car to the dealer today they take it. cal lme half hour later and tell me the clutch is shot and it is shredded inside the housing. they tell me its a faulty clutch* i say faulty install. anywho so i call clutch masters and tell them whats going on and they are going to give me my money back as soon as the dealer sends them pictures of the clutch. but heres the greatest part the dealer wants me to pay for the labor to do a new clutch install.... so i just burned like 350 bucks. well i orderd the act clutch ACT ZM8-HDMM since i have the act prolight flywheel and the reviews seem pretty good. so we'll see. ill updtae you guys and get some vids up of everything asap. imma go punch the wall now. lol

Yeah, theres no way to mess up an engine install either, I mean it'll either run or it won't.

I hate hearing stories like this but I am glad that ClutchMasters has more scruples than the dealer. I have done clutch installs in the snow by myself that didn't have any problems. There's no excuse for the dealer to have let that car get back to you. Period.

what a load of bullshit

its possible for bad clutch, but the chances are like ... close to none, especially from Clutch Masters's clutch.

You did your clutch/fw swap at dealership and it only cost 350 bux ? thats cheap.

but still, Im willing to bet 95% that they screwed something up in the process than the clutch exploded itself. probably overtorque it or something.
