My First 8, Plz Help

Okie i just got my first rx8. It's on its way here from the east coast, be here around 2-3 weeks.
It is a 04 Tit Gray.
40,000"KM"
6spd
-------------------
I dont think it has been drove around to much in the past few months, as i got it from an Auction.
I have a few questions, what things should I do as soon as i get, "eg; Oil change, top fluids, ect.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Also being as it's only got 40,000km on it will it still have any warranty's on the car?
--------------------
This is also my first Rwd Car, and car with over 140Hp, any tips on driving is it much different then fwd?
"not my first stick shift"
------------
also if you can direct me to any post's on the site that will give me basic info; eg starting, warming it up, ect.
==================
Thanks for all the help, and I am very excited to drive my new 8

Make sure that all updates have been done to it . Check that out at your Mazda dealership. You'll still have some warranty . Your first RWD go slow till you get used to what your doing .

Good Luck...............

Not regular engine oil, use ready-made premix or two-stroke oil.

CyberPitz 09-26-2008 11:51 AM

Think of it like a motorcycle/weedeater type of deal. We can use two stroke to lubricate our seals...

junghyunsmile 09-26-2008 12:02 PM

ah~
just never heard of this before so it kinda shocked me.

StealthTL 09-26-2008 12:09 PM

You don't have to, it's kind of an 'extra' care step.

If you think of piston rings rubbing on a cylinder - they have combustion on one side and oil on the other. Our apex seals have 'combustion' on both sides, they have a hard life with little lubrication. A little lube in the fuel can make a big difference.

Yeah and usually it will absolutely fry your fuel filter in a matter of months, but it is your call.

CyberPitz 09-26-2008 02:44 PM

So wait, people who have been premixing for years and never had to repair their fuel filter are making shit up?
