Is my Engine Healthy?
Now the previous owner of my car seems like he knew something about rotaries and he knew he had to go past 7k once a day but i looked at some papers and it said he only replaced coils once at 53k miles...
Right now im around 70k miles and i have a video that shows different starts: http://youtu.be/zBo3jKqbHzc?hd=1 now i haven't taken a compression test yet, but i was hoping you guys could tell me if it was even worth taking it to the dealer to get one after you watch the video |
Looks like the starter cranking speed is low if I can hear it right, but it still fires very quickly.
If you want to get a compression test for peace of mind it can be quite valuable still, but I don't think you have much to worry about at the moment. Only 17k on your ignition. |
And if you are at 70k then the battery is probably original and not 100%
|
Those starts are not bad at all. But as 9k suggested, your battery might be old too. Perhaps that could make a difference.
Not that you have to rush into buying one, but maybe a friend you lend you one for a little while that is newer, so that you can try and compare. |
