My 8 is out

Im so sad, my right talilight filled up with condensation and now im without my 8 for a week.

This bites.

Anyone else have the same problem?

Haze 03-08-2006 09:44 AM

I had my lamp fill up with condensation, but it took them about a half hour to fix it. Why are you without your car for a week?

Word.

Are you getting your transmission replaced one the side?

NgoRX8 03-08-2006 01:22 PM

Yea, they should just order the taillight and call you when you can come to get it replaced.

Chrisbert 03-08-2006 02:33 PM

Maybe they are going in from the intake.

silver_8 03-08-2006 03:02 PM

hah. are u serious? you gave your 8 for a week so they can fix a tail light?! Your going to let it sit for 7 days and then have them work on it for 30 mins?? WTF?! your crazy!!

Go pick your car up, tell them to call you when the part gets in..IDIOT!

khtm 03-08-2006 03:02 PM

Dude your dealership sucks ass. It should take them less than an hour to replace the taillight...that's how long mine took.

Plus, there's already tons of threads on this so try searching.

Please go pick up your car asap. Don't let them "test drive" it for 7 days!

Raptor2k 03-08-2006 04:25 PM

Wtf? I just got my taillight replaced, took 15 minutes (after getting the dealership to order it beforehand)

ac3mastuh 03-08-2006 04:56 PM

I just picked it up, they called me and they said that the part takes them a week to get, but they just took one off one of their cars in the back...Actually, I thought that was pretty cool

khtm 03-08-2006 05:02 PM

Sweet, instead of replacing the taillight with a new part as required by the warranty, they gave you a used part.

I'd definitely go back to that dealer again :)

Laguna Hills, CA Mazda had the tail light in stock. I dropped the car off, ate lunch, picked the car up.

Hey guys...regarding this taillight issue...I noticed when I bought my 8 that the clear lens wraps around and comes to a point facing the side of the car...and there is space between the lens and the car body...it seems only natural that with that design air and anything else would get into the taillight area when the car is moving...or even moisture when the vehicle is in humid conditions. I haven't had a problem yet, but am curious as to whether this is the same on your 8's. Mine is a 2005.

RedLine9 03-08-2006 06:33 PM

it happened to mine as well. The left one. Thank god for the warantee
