My 8 hesitates to start!!!

My rx 8 sounds like it struggles a bit before it starts. What do you guys recommend for maintenance wise. Gonna change the spark plugs and wires what else should i be changing?

Year? Early model RX8s have bad starting issues. I had to get a new starter at 60k miles because it went out. Also you might want to change your coils. How long has it been since you changed plugs, wires, and coils?

If it's an 04(or early 05), then it could be older starter as noted.
You can search and find the "new" vs. "old" number and then verify which it is.
Other than that............what Domenico asked or said.

How old is your battery as well, and have you had it tested. Are the connections clean?

Funny you mention the battery, had to charge it cause the car was sitting for a long time but the battery seems ok this past week. Maybe i should get it tested to be sure.

I think "yes".

Batteries don't do well if they are fully discharged.
If leaving for extended periods, mighht want to consider a battery tender or trickle charger.

We use a solar charger for my pop's old truck, it sits for several months at a time and never has battery issues now.

^ Get an oil change in the process. Your car will not last very long if you don't change the oil at a reasonable frequency. Adding oil does not remove contamination of the existing oil. The bad stuff needs to come out. Time is less important than mileage. Once per year and maybe 6,000 miles are about as far as you should stretch it without oil analysis. It's more important to maintain the level though. If you run a car low on oil it is very bad.
