Multivex mirrors

I catch myself moving my head a lot when looking through the mirrors. Kind of a small field of view. I put Multivex mirrors on my Honda ST1300, which helped a similar issue. You can learn about the mirrors here:

http://www.multivexmirror.com/

You can see them on my bike here:

http://koczarski.com/Motorcycles/ST1...or/Mirrors.htm

They haven't made them for the RX8 yet, so I'd have to send them a paper template so they can make a tooling for it. I emailed the company and asked if they work over heated mirrors. They responded that if you seal the top and side gaps between the stock mirror and the new multivex mirror they still work pretty well, just not as fast.

Has anyone come up with a better solution to the liimited mirrors??

Thanks!

I think I have some of those laying around somewhere. I just thought the stock mirrors are so small it <might> make things even worse. Don't they cover 1/4 of the stock mirrors?

I tried mounting my little mirrors in the upper inside corners this morning. Maybe I'll get used to them, but they really block what little mirror coverage I already had. Maybe I'll try moving them to the outside of the mirrors......

While the stock mirrors are small, I have no problems seeing other cars on the road as long as the mirrors are adjusted correctly (where's that mirror adjustment site?). In the past I had the mirrors adjusted where you can see the side of the car, and I had to move my head and crane my neck like a pigeon wherever I went.

I had a multi panel mirror set in my old jetta. It was sweet, you could see anything behind you, though likely a tad on the ugly side for most people, but then so was my jetta.

Actually it looks like a decent idea. I'd be interested to know when they are available. Keep us posted.
