MP3 installed, damn near flooded the car.

Mp3 install wasn't too bad... took me a bit longer than I'd expected due to my fear of pulling on things. Also I'd note that it's very useful to use a screwdriver (wrapped in tape) to release the tabs at the top of the radio console.

At any rate, finished up, turned it on, and noticed the DSC OFF light flashing at me. Drive it, traction control off light comes on. Hoping I didn't mess anything up, pull over. Turn off the car. Restart it, and sure enough nothing. Pedal to the floor, cranks, and finally fires. Breathe a sigh of relief as the car starts AND the DSC appears to be working. Drive around the block a few times and crack open a beer. :)

There's a documented procedure for resetting the DSC after having the battery disconnected... You should probably disconnect the battery again and reset the DSC per the procedure in the manual (turn on car, turn wheel to one lock, then all the way back to the other lock, then to the center - light will go out at this point - then turn car off) in case the system got calibrated wrong and your DSC is now getting a funky reading for the steering position.
