Missing Shifter Paddle

I have a 2004 RX-8 with auto transmission. It can be placed in the manual shift mode and then shifted up and down through the gears using the "shifter paddles" mounted on the steering wheel. These shifter paddles have aluminum faced covers indicating "up" and "down". Some SOB got into my car and removed (stole) the right hand "up" shifter paddle cover. I have looked everywhere (ebay, online, etc.) to find a replacement paddle cover without success. I don't want to have to purchase a whole new shifter assembly. Any suggestions as to where I can find a replacement paddle cover? Thanks

Thats different, im sorry to hear about your loss. I have never heard of anyone stealing the paddle off the shifters.

Just get another automatic steering wheel and pop it on.

But... why? Why would someone steal those? lol

All I can figure is that they needed one for their RX-8 and were having as much trouble locating one as I have been having. I will search salvage yards. Thanks
