AT Mileage vs MT Mileage
What Mileage are you getting on AVERAGE?
I have an Automatic with just a little over 1200 miles on my car and on the avg. with getting on the throttle occassionally. I am getting 22.471 mpg with the DSC & TSC ON. Mostly city driving with a few Hwy. I have not tried it yet with it all off.
Will post mileage I get , when I try DSC/TSC off.

Stuck in a love triangle
My MPG was I think 15 until I read on here that eveyrone can get good mileage if they keep RPMs below 3750 the whole time they drive. Now its probably closer to 17 or 18. I dont own the big book so I had to read it on here to find that out. That is unfair and Mazda should have written thta in the manual also. I think that really sucks tho since I didnt buy a Rx8 to have to drive it in low RPMs all the time inorder to get good mileage!!! I think so far that trick has worked verywell for me. I just hate doing it.

we shouldn't let this poll die!!
In fact we should make a seriously through poll for mileage and conditions...and make it a sticky for a while...until we get a decent number of samples.

Jerky, Why in hell would Mazda tell you to rev it under 3750 RPM in the manual? You can drive the car anyway you want but everyone knows that if you drive it like you stole IT WILL COST MORE FUEL ! My Passat would get 9L per 100k when i'm gentle and 11 when i'm driving hard . This is just normal.
epa test are done with normal easy driving i'm sure.

I am one of those who decided to sell my Mazda back. I reasoned that I will be able to get a very good deal on either a new or very low mileage RX-8 in the near future. In lieu of the Mazda I purchased the new 2004 VW Touareg 310 hp V-8. With about 1500 miles on the vehicle, my fuel economy is 19.6 mpg.
