Mechanical problem- Need help...

I know this does not belong in this forum but I wanted a lot of viewers so here goes: So I'm driving in to work, when 3 warning lights come on simultaneously (brake, abs & traction control). There was no apparent problem with my brakes, so I turned the car off and on again, the lights went out, so I figure no real harm done. Then, a month later, the same thing happened so this time I bring the car in to the dealership. They called me back to tell me that they detected a defect with the front sensors so they replaced them and assumed the problem was solved. However, one month later, BINGO- same problem, so I bring it in again. They cannot find the cause but said it may be related to the powered subwoofer that I had installed a while ago? It is wired to the battery... so they want to disconnect it to see if it happens again.

Anyone heard of this? Any advice would be appreciated.

something is happening to your ABS/DSC system. a slight change in power feed to the ABS/DSC control module (or whatever unit is in charge) could cause a malfunction. i don't see why they didn't run a diagnostic test to see what was exactly wrong or to see if it threw any faults.

Sounds like a loose connection intermitingly shorting the sensor .

It's been at the dealership for 3 days and counting- now they think that because my winter tires were size 45 (instead of the standard 40) that may have something to do with it? They are putting my standard tires back on it today so we will see what effect that has... they truly have no idea what is causing it and I have a feeling it aint the powered subwoofer.

I have a sub on mine for almost a year now and haven't had any problems. The dealership is just looking for anything to be a scapegoat so they aren't responsible. They don't want to tell you, "We are sorry, but we don't know what is wrong." If they get frustrated and can't find anything they will just blame it on anything aftermarket. If your dealership are pricks they will just eventually say they can't fix it and it's not covered under warrenty because you added the sub.
