Mazdaspeed break-in procedure?

I saw a post a while back that referred to a Mazdaspeed-issued recommended procedure for breaking in the Renesis. I ran a search to see if there was a thread devoted to this but found nothing. Does such a thing exist, and if so, is it a better outline to follow than the one listed in the owner's manual?

Sorry for bringing this subject up again, but I will be getting my car in a couple weeks (hopefully) and just want to be as informed as possible.

I remember reading it somewhere or hearing it perhaps. From what I remember the suggestion was to not go over 3 or 4k rpms for the first 60 miles, then +1k rpms per every 60 miles after till you hit redline. Then just take it easy till you hit 600. That's what I remember. I could be totally wrong.

The most sensible thing to do is to follow the owner's manual. Going through the threads may give you more insights, but will end up confusing you more.

Absolutely.

600 miles of VERY easy driving and shifting.
