2013 Could be possible, but.......

The new 1.6L version has already been seen in Nevada and elsewhere.

Problem is overheating.

It all depends upon corporate priorty.

You got to go to fuel injection to save MPG.

I dunno... the 6 hatchback was a wonderful idea. It looks just like a sedan, but has enough space back there to haul a small planet, or comfotably fuck a fat chick (one and the same?). By the way, the wagon and hatch do exist in the rest of the world, but for North America they deiced to cater exclusively to yuppies.

Not having a Mazdaspeed Miata (and postponing a redesign) I think is a mistake also. There is a market for this type of car. Hi-performance, 30-40k two-doors. A turboed Miata could well have stolen some 350-Z sales from Nissan.

I know some won't agree, but I don't think we even need the Mazda2 over here. The 3 is small enough and fuel-efficient enough to fill that "small economy car" role. The problem is Mazda throwing too many goddamn options onto each one they make and pushing the price over 20000$.

Mazda has awesome vehicles but I swear some of their decisions are starting to reek of Volkswagen-caliber mismanagement. Maybe that's just how I see it. It'll be a few years before we see how this pans out.
