Mazda offering me an additional 100k platinum and powertrain warranty??

So I got a letter in the mail from Mazda-Mitsubishi-Mercedes "motor vehicle services", saying that they are offering me platinum and powetrain warranty coverage on my RX8.

1. Extensions available to 2016
2. Up to or additional 100,000 miles
3. Full coverage/powertrain
4. 24 hour roadside assistance

Platinum: Engine, transmission, drive axel, suspension, steering, a/c, electronics, seals, gaskets, brakes

Powertrain: Additional 100,00 miles

My RX8 has 65k on it. I had 2 engines put in it last summer, Am i being offered this because of all the trouble with my car before??

At the bottom of the letter is states:
"you may have been selected to recieve this limited time offer because of information in your consumer report or other data."

Never heard of this before...anybody get this letter?

I received these scam letters on another newer vehicle I own. Read the fine print, trying to make an engine claim will be impossible. I would only trust one from an Mazda Dealership. I am also sure that some place in that letter they will state they have zero affiliation with Mazda-Mitsubishi-Mercedes.

The same thing happened to me...I was at about 99k when I received the letter...It sounded too good to be true...So I ignored it...lol...There has to be a catch somewhere.

And dealerships wonder why they have poor reputations.

I wonder if there has been ANY member here that has a engine replaced under a non Mazda warranty? Many have fine print that exclude rotary engines by name or the engine failure MUST be do to a parts failure. Our engines fail most of the time do to to wear.

i got my engine replaced by insurance, comprehensive. Hit a pig. :P Got a new radiator, condensor, front air dam, engine clutch pressure plate, cat and exhaust all covered for my deductible and ~5 months in the shop to have it done right.

I would NEVER buy another aftermarket warranty. That shit was the biggest RIP ever!!!
