Gas here is 3.27ish for premium, back home it's 3.21.

If I were you I'd either look for a better job, get an extra one or don't spend as much on the weekends. I'm sure you're hurting for money with school in addition to other things but my advice is that you've got to work for the things you want, especially having a nice sports car.

Of course, another option would be to see if you can find a cheap daily beater that gets better mileage and save the sports car for weekends. I used to drive a crappy old 94 saturn sedan that got 30 to the gallon. Paid $1500 for it. According to those calculations up there, something like that might just fit into your plan.

Sounds to me like niether is the best option. Do yourself a favor:
1. Buy a $2000 sedan, hatchback or wagon.
2. Sell the 8 yourself.
3. Pay off the bank.
4. Put anything remaining into a CD or toward your tuition.
5. Do well in class, graduate and get a good job.
6. Buy a nice sports car with your comfortable income.

I would most definitely not recommend a CD at this time. Not trying to get into investment advice but either put it toward your tuition or set up some long term retirement style investments like a Roth IRA.
