seach nazis, attack!!!
just kidding. i have tein s -techs with no ill side effects. doesn't change the ride quality, but you get a boost in the looks department. |
new york city roads are the freakin worst. lowering my car was never an option living here. I saw a ricer get stuck over a speed bump.... one of the integras. I couldn't help but point and laugh.

Pros - looks really good.
Cons - just about everything else. Seriously though, I've lowered mine quite a bit with the AutoEXE springs and the only penalty is ground clearance. Depending on the condition of your roads, that may or may not be an issue. |

Yeah, I've thought about this also. Would a slight lower be worth it? I never wanted to lower the car that much...maybe half an inch...what do you all think?
|
Cons: Going over speed bumps is nearly impossible.
Pros: You look like you could be in Fast and Furious 3 and high school kids will be impressed. You can start a "Mr. Plow" company in the winter like Homer. |
I heard that with the car lower you would be able to take turns faster. sounds like a big plus.

back when I had a mustang I lowered it pretty good. It was my daily driver and it was a major pain in the ass. Always worrying about scraping and having to go 1mph over speed bumps, in the long run it wasn't worth it.
I won't lower my rx8 for those exact reasons. If you rx8 isn't a daily driver, then I would definitely go for it, but if this is a car you're gonna be taking to work every day, going to the grocery store, gym, etc...I would just forget it. |
HMMM....good point. something ill have to think about.

my car is on rb springs and koni shocks...
i drive my car on street in southern california and it took a while but i got used to it. I dont mind it at all. |
yah cuz im in s. cali too..diamond bar walnut area..roads arent too bad..but im sure it'll take sum gettin used to. thanx!

i lowered mine w/ the tein S tech springs to even out the higher front wheel well gap to the rears. i think the amount of drop w/ these springs is mild so there's no issue w/ ride quality and ground clearance, though personally i feel the 8 corners slightly better w/ the stock springs. also the 8 has camber, cast and toe adjustments built in, so less $ spent for a camber kit, just have a shop do an alignment after the lowering spring get installed.
wheelworks did the installation and alignment for $350. call around for pricing, i called 3 local wheelworks and got 3 different prices. |
anyone know about a DIY on installing the springs? i cant find it. i tried searching. thanks guys!
|
i found it. thanks anyways.
