MO Low Compression

A few weeks ago I went to the dealership and found out I had low compression due to the need of a tune up. I got the tune up but was told that the compression wont ever be built back up to where it should be unless I get the engine rebuilt/fix whats needed in the engine. I was just wondering what low compression problems can cause performance wise to see if this is something I ultimately want to save for to have fixed. My rx8 is my dream car and I want it to run the way it should.

Um. I don't think there's any topics related, so no need to search.

Read the first section over and over again until it makes sense.

if you are in North America you should still have the engine warranty which is 8yr/100kmi.

Sooooooo... you paid to let the dealership do a tune up on your car, even though you knew your engine had low compression?

Really?

Worse yet, the dealer told him to get a tune up knowing fully well that it would not improve things. Dealers really suck. They know he needs a new engine, might as well make a few bucks.
I would not let this dealer do the engine swap. Also you might want to call Mazda and let them know what's going on with your car.
