For those of you who gave me a sincere answer, thank you. Im sure that these questions have been addressed before. Im a salesman and I know how iirritating it can be to have people ask you the same question over and over again.

I think its about time I unsubsribe to this thread as I see that it has taken a turn to the worst. If you have anything to add that may be useful to me, please message me directly. All help is appreciated.

The rotary is good for endurance... look that Mazda won LeMans 24h endurance races....

They also tested the Rx8 in various 24h endurance events and confirmed the reliability of the rotary while racing.

I have a coworker whos 04 RX8 has 112000 miles on the engine....
he was of big help when i bought my RX8 over the Z that i had my eyes on......
right now i got 35000 miles on mine with 0 problems... (nock on wood) and for some weird reason my car doesnt eat oil almost at all..... i drive it like CCRRAAZZYY....
but never been to a track sooo....

I had an '85 rx7 that i drove to almost 180k on the original motor... The thing still ran strong as all hell when It got hit & run :(
Very possible that engine is still in use - Since I sold it as a parts car to a guy in Pottstown, PA

The rotary loves to be used & abused!
