Love

After a month of ownership and reading these posts everyday I have something to say.

I love my 8 :inlove:

:) :icon_tup:

Many of us still feel that way for much longer. And unfortunately, many of us have had that love soured to disappointment, bitterness, anger, betrayal, hatred.

Me? I still love mine, 4.5 years later.

Mazurfer 05-20-2012 08:55 AM

^..............I would agree after about 6 1/2 years now.
Wow....has it really been that long?

MariesRX8 05-20-2012 09:04 AM

LOL... yup. Eight years with this car now, and I just got back from a 600 mile, 12-hours-in-one-day-driving road trip.

And my thought when pulling into my driveway was, "Darn it... home already!" ;)

23.5 mpg BTW... not bad for 74mph with A/C!

Wingznut 05-20-2012 09:45 AM

I've had my 8 for ten months now... And I think I like it more each day.

SubliminalPollution 05-20-2012 09:54 AM

2 1/2 months with mine and my girlfriend accuses my Eight as being the second girlfriend.

...I correct my girl and tell her "Huh? You're the second girlfriend."

4 and a half years and the wife is still jealous

Jake33 05-20-2012 10:30 AM

2 years 3 days 19 hours 3 minutes and 41 seconds...still love her <3

I have had mine for about 8 months now. I love mine a lot. It's my favorite car I have ever owned. It is pretty much everything I want in a car. Though, it would be nice if it had about 300hp instead of a little over 200. But, that's a small issue.

Razz1 05-20-2012 01:21 PM

I hope you don't drive it in a Minnesota winter.

RIWWP 05-20-2012 01:40 PM

^ 5 new england winters here as a daily. By far the best winter vehicle I've ever had. And at 99,500 miles, still basically no rust.

Jake33 05-20-2012 02:20 PM

^i have a decent amount of rust and literally drove mine through snow about 5-8 times...maybe im just unlucky? :/

monchie 05-20-2012 05:23 PM

Since 2007 and beyond...

Prophet 05-20-2012 08:07 PM

I survived the last winter just fine. Not to worried. That's what snow tires are for.

Prophet 05-20-2012 08:08 PM

Survived last winter just fine. That's why I have snow tires.

I feel the same way after about 5.5yrs....was debating on selling it but just couldn't bring myself to do it.

Same here, sometimes I think there is no escaping the emotional addiction, lol. Eight years with mine as of this weekend.

And yet I want a CX-5 sooooo badly, and yet... I keep putting money into the RX-8 instead.

Seriously, it IS a little disturbing. I've owned other cars I've really liked, and sure I've missed them when trading them in. But the idea of "trading in" the RX-8 feels more like abandoning a beloved pet at a shelter or something.

pistonhater 05-24-2012 09:27 AM

I still feel I got a lot of car for the money I paid.

The 8 remains my most favorite car so far.
