So when I purchased my RX8 it had one of those Typhoon air intakes and I am wanting to put the stock airbox back in.

Was hoping if anyone had one laying around for sale? I have tried Ebay but they are all either incomplete or something broken. I also called my dealership but they wanted $600 for the airbox and $400 for the accordion looking tubing(forgot the proper name for it)..

I have the 2004, 6 speed manual. Here are some pictures to get an idea what the current intake looks like and what all I would need.

yeah, as far as i know they are all the same, no changes. my 07 looks exact same as the 05.

Yeah, I had purchased that Injen Air Intake but....my RPMs started to fluctuate when coming to a stop and idling. But then I put the one it came with and it was fine again.

I would just feel much better with the original one though. Thank you on all the offers so far! I will consider everyone of them as long as everything that I may need comes along with it..

I don't really know...guess I will just keep it somewhere in the garage, I still have that injen air intake too sitting around, which was only used for about 4 days.

the early autos (not sure about the 6 port autos) iirc did not have a vfad

Still though if anyone wants this current intake or the injen intake for whatever reason let me know..it's basically free as long as the shipping is somehow covered.
