Looking to interview an RX-8 lover
 

I figure there should be plenty of you guys here. :)

Anyway, I'm working on a project for a marketing class in business school and am looking to interview someone who really loves their RX-8.

The interview shouldn't take more than 20-30 minutes depending on how it goes and we can do it via phone or by IM (msn, yahoo, aim) or skype.

Your help would be greatly appreciated. Let me know if you're interested.

I had a 93 RX7 for 8 years, an 89 RX7 for 6 mos and now my 04 RX8 for 2 years.

I guess you could say I love 'em. Current odometer on my RX8 is 60k; Black & Red GT Manual Trany.

Don't pick me, I love my 8 but hate it's dark side.

ok, i'm interviewing ike at you guys' request (whether or not he has an rx8) and zoom44 and a couple of other volunteers.

Interview with an RX-8 lover
 

Q: What first attracted you to the RX-8?
A: Well, to tell the truth, I was drunk and the RX-8 was willing. After what I did, the salesman said I had to buy it.

Q: What do you like most about your RX-8?
A: The feel of the leather on bare skin. Oh, also the mileage, and that sunroof that's halfway between the front and back seats and not being able to see who's driving in my blind spots.

Q: What do you like least about your RX-8?
A: (hand on chin, looking at ceiling)...I'd have to say the fact that I can't get one that runs on bio-diesel. You see, I own a burger and fries stand, and an 8 that smells like fries would be cool.

Q: Have you added any "mods" (modifications) to your car?
A: Yes. I added the red interior dome lights, strobe corners, tuck-and-roll upholstry, header & "cherry bomb" muffler/exhausts. 10,000 watt sound system amplifier with 36" sub-woofer in the back seat. Also I have spark-plugs on my tailpipes that make flames shoot out the ends. Custom hydraulic suspension so I can really get this thing bouncing. I've gotten three feet of air with that sucker. Next is wheelie bars for the back and a carbon-fiber Corvette hood scoop, a CB radio and nine-foot whip antenna. But I've gone light on the mods, there are some guys in my club who spare no expense.

Q: Did dealer service figure into your decision to buy the RX-8?
A: Definitely. My dealer thinks the car is sweet, and I'm sure he cuts me a deal on my sh*t just because I drive a cool car. Makes him look uptown, too, if someone sees him with me..

Q: I like your wheels. Are they stock?
A: No, I had to steal them from a really riced-up Evo.

Q: Do you have the manual, or automatic transmission?
A: Auto all-the-way, man. None of that shifting sh*t for me. I just sit back and let the car take care of it. Besides, with the 8, there's this cool "manual mode", so I can pretend that I'm driving a manual if I ever want to. See, I stuck a fake clutch pedal on the floor mat with Velcro...
