Offer them $2,000 over ruff blackbook and go from there. The geussing game you are playing is how much they have invested into the car. You can geuss on about $1,000 pac on the vehicle (getting it ready for sale) and they usualy want to make $1,500 profit on used. If they are behind book on it, they have room to move. If they are into clean book, or even out of book, they will not have as much room to move. At a Mazda dealer they are more than likely a little deeper into it. $4k is the usual that they will mark up a used unless they are in too deep. My 2 cent.

 

I previously posted in this thread that my dealership would not do the battery/starter TSB on my car because the engine recall covered it. They actually canceled the scheduled work and sent the parts back. Well today the dealership swapped out the battery and starter so they honored the TSB. Perhaps the original person helping me did not know what was going on due to being new to Mazda support or the updated TSB pushed it through. Either way the car starts right up!
