A little help for a new RX-8 owner
I'm coming from a nissan drag race world and I wanted to try something new.....aka rotary. I will not be drag racing anymore and my main intent was to road course here in the Indiana area. I picked up a super clean 05 white pearl but I have one main concern.
This car does not have DSC. How big of a deal is this? Should I sell and wait to find one with it? Opinions? BTW other then that I LOVE this car. |
Th stability control is a very nice feature for daily driving in wet or snowy conditions. Like any other stability control system, it can react better than you can. . .
That said, chances are you would turn this system off whenever your raced as when ever you would ever start the break loose the Traction control and stability control would apply the brakes and decrease power. . . which isn't desirable. So, for a daily driver, its a nice system, but if you're planning on road racing this car, you'd just turn it off anyway. |
Ok, good to know. I've just heard that people who turn it off end up spinning very easily. I wasn't sure if that was because the car was hard to control or if it was a sign of lack of driver experience.
