When I go fishing with a friend, I pack all my tackle boxes in the trunk, pop out the center rear access panel and can put all my rods and reels in the car from the trunk through the pass through and resting on the back of the passenger seat... all of my rods are 7ft to 7ft6in.

You need to pick yourself up a beater my man. I have a 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee along with my 8 and my wife has a 2001 Explorer Sport along with her Solstice. I would have been scared to death I'd tear the interior or scuff the dash.

rodjonathan 05-09-2010 07:16 PM

lol ive moved a ton of stuff in the 8 it is after all a car and a very usable one at that

I make sure all hooks stay in the trunk area..LOL...

People are always amazed at how much trunk space there is.. I work on computers for a living... One time I had 4 PC's and a server in my trunk ...no problems...

olddragger 05-09-2010 08:53 PM

Last week I had 2 full exhausts, a midpipe, 4 coilovers, a set of sway bars, a stock intake box, and a carton of 12qts of oil all in the car at the same time..!

jefecito87 05-09-2010 11:08 PM

ok i think i can top all of you i had a total of seven people in my 8 and no i am not lying at all whatsoever ive done it in two of my car i was at my gf school and her sorority friends needed a ride back to campus so

4 girls in the back one on the hump since i have the seat far back and my girl and her friend on her lap and me driving lets say for me complaining about power it pulled all of them perfectly and of course showed off a little

Haha, i'm on my second home remodel since i've had the 8. I know this look well.

edit: ^^^ jefecito97 -- 7 people! I thought it was good when i had 4 guys in my car and i was the shortest/smallest guy and i'm 6'4" 220lbs

merkidemis 05-09-2010 11:40 PM

I get nods of approval all the time when I take my son out of his car seat in the back. No option for that in a 350Z! Not at impressive as a TV, no, but he does know how to blow bubbles.

Cylestyne 05-10-2010 05:45 AM

I wouldn't do that to my RX-8...

CyberPitz 05-10-2010 11:13 AM

I've carried 5 tires at a time in my car. That's the most I did.

I tried to fit a treadmill in there, but just SLIGHTLY too big...

Huey52 05-10-2010 11:24 AM

Nicely played OP. I used to do stuff like that all the time when younger and I had no other option ('77 Celica Liftback), so I do empathize. But these days I too use my Jeep 'beater' for such errands. And as also cited, get the Voodoo shift knob for your AFE SS. ;)

urlastrites 05-10-2010 05:51 PM

why not do it with your 8? it's got the back seats, that was my main pull from the 350, if i got em im gonna use them

I had a whole computer desk, desktop computer, 5.1 SS system, bag of CDs, spare keyboards and mice, and 3 boxes of spare computer parts in the trunk. I know what you mean :D:

Then i stuck an executive chair in the cabin somehow.
