Leather Seat Wrinkles

I was wondering if anyone noticed the large amount of wrinkles or badly cut and sewn leather seat that have been shown lately on the japanese magazines and the X-man car. I am actually completely against leather in any type of sports car but I know for those that want leather that the quality of the seats could come into question, with these pics. Do you guys think this is just a pre-production issue?

Considering I've had my Millenia for 5 years, and the leather is near brand new I'm not concerned at all about this.

Taking into consideration that the car will *probably* be used only during the night and during the day you won't see the inside (because then the center console won't look as neat), then I think it's pretty safe to assume that it's probably a pre-production issue because the interior quality isn't paid much attention to, because the only thing the film will worry about concentrating on is that center console, more likely than not, at night.

considering the other things (like wiring) that were done pretty half-assed for this car (because it didn't REALLY matter, they could afford to just come up with a fairly satisfactory car for the movie), i wouldn't think this is an accurate indication of the quality of the production interior.

I can understand it on the X-car but the leather on the interior pics from the japanesse magazines that were posted recently also show quite a few wrinkles in the leather.

I would think that they would want to impress the reviewers of the magazines with a decent example of the car.

what are you even talking about?

Cause i have no idea at all. What wrinkles in the leather?

Yea, on the red car that's been reviewed/showcased I have not seen any wrinkles.

Put up a pic for us :)

Ok, well here is a link to the thread with a couple of the pics I was talking about specifically its the tan interior car. The Rear seatbelt pic really shows a large amount of wrinkles in the rear seats.

The Front seats don't seem to be as bad except on the curves on the bolsters.

High-quality leather seats often have wrinkles when first made. They have to be broken in with about 15-20 hours of seat time. Since these are all show cars, I'd imagine that the interiors don't get enough wear to break in the leather.

I remember this from a similar discussion on another forum, where some guy got aftermarket leather seats and people thought he got ripped off because the passenger seat was wrinkled, but it was simply because it hadn't been sat in as much as the driver's seat.

To me that makes sense that the break-in would take some of the wrinkles out. I remember though when my father first got is Bonniville SSEI that the leather seats did not have any wrinkles in them. I guess those with leather seats will figure it out.

The wrinkles in the back seet are just from under-stretch or something like that, but the high amount of wrinkling on the inside turn of the shoulder bolster is i dont know what from. But with some wear itll probably (hopefully) straighten out.
