I joined the forum to learn more about my new car. I have been friendly and all I asked for was some tips. I think alot of the people here are really nice and have reponded very nice. But I think there are alot of people who are just kids. I have a auto. so what! its still a rotary and its still an rx8. People are funny on this forum. Its a cockfight! actually I think some posters are loosers. Your probably one of those guys who looks at the car and sees a hot bitch like me, not caring if its stick. You can only wish and **** it I look good in the car.

There IS a performance gap between the cars. If some people dislike the auto then its their choice. All bad comments from them are directed at auto RX-8s in generel, not your specific car that you love.

This IS a good site to belong to, all you need to do is filtering out the important parts.

I didn't even see any hostility towards you. Most of the posts were automatic owners defending the automatic and in some ways playing down the fact that the manual is in fact much better in terms of performance and manual owners defending the advantages of a manual.
You've got to remember this is an INTERNET forum... anyone can act in anyway and still get away with it, so get used to it. ANY forum will have its share of retarded members.

As many have said... there is something called forum etiquette and part of it is learning the that "SEARCH" button is your friend. You aren't the first and won't be the last Noob asking something that has been answered in some way or form before... thus... the SEARCH button is your friend.

Beyond the magical "SEARCH" button... opinions... as someone else said... this is the internet and opinions are like ********... and people feel free to give theirs (like me now). So if you act like an ***, you'll get it handed back to you. Just the nature of the beast.

Attitudes... even if you are a "cute racer bitch" that "look[s] good in the car"... this is the internet. No one knows what you look like, posted pics can be faked and even if it's all real... as if the majority of people even live near you. So while there are some "leg humpers" in the lounge... generally looks aren't going to get you real far on internet forums. Sorry for the... but "dems da breaks baby"... or is it more "c'est la vie" ...

So what if some posters are jerks? You'll run into that in all forums and newsgroups. Do like the rest of us and just ignore the comments from the jerks and discuss things with the reasonable people. As far as all the anti-auto comments, the heck with 'em. If you like your car, that's all that counts.

For those that heckle for having an auto there are a few reasons a person gets an auto: They don't know how to drive a stick; they have had an injury to their left foot and can't use it extensively; or they love the paddles on the steering wheel (they are pretty neat). Oh wait there is one more, they don't care how peppy the car is. I said "peppy"

If you really want to learn more about what you can do to your car like some of the others had said the Search button is a very, very useful tool. So much so there is actually a DIY on using it thanks to Mugatu
