KUMHO tires!!

Just bought a used 2004 6 speed for myself with 12K miles, would probably need tires soon . I was looking at the Kumhos as they are pretty cheap compared to others. Does anyone have experience with them? Any other suggestions at lower priced tires( maybe Goodrich, Yokos)?

get the SPTs. they are great, especially considering the price.

I have Nankangs on mine, I have been very pleased with them.

Take a look at the Wheels, Tires, and Suspension subforum. You'll find lots of info on tires. The Kumho tires get great reviews there.

I just had Kumho Ecsta SPTs put on mine and I love them.

I just put the Kumho ECSTA SPT's on mine a few months ago. So far I love 'em. Great tire for the price. https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-wheels-tires-brakes-suspension-55/kumho-ecsta-spts-245-40-18-installed-86743/

im going to be ordering some kumho's sometime in the next month. my tires are worn to hell. my dealer kept pushing me to get replacement potenza's, which i have never heard anything good about from the great folks at rx8club.com.

kum's are great for the price, i bought spt's after my dealer asked 1300 for 4 new bridgestones plus install.

pretty weak. my dealer also mentioned the bridgestones, but told me they were $175 a piece plus $15 each for installation.

what do they say: "that man is trying to rob you on the highway"?

second. These tires are sweet and superior to the Pretenza's.

Forget Khumo's or anything else. For a good price and Toyo tire quality, Check out the Falken FK-452.

If we're forgeting about price, Advans are the way to go.

Razz1 06-01-2006 11:18 PM

Actually your wrong IKE. Go to Walmart and buy their tire brand made by good year. :bootyshak

Ahh forgot about those, the Wal-Years are nice but I prefer the Wal-Stones, though neither can compare to the pure joy of Wal-Tussin.

I have kuhmos on my car, they wear slowly, they're noisy... but they're good tires, never lost traction with them.

I'd go with Toyos next time though, they get very good reviews.

CosmosMpower 06-02-2006 01:47 AM

Hankook RS2 or Kumho MX

I've got the Kumho Ecsta SPT tire and they are great for the price you pay for...Also in my opinon I think they are a little quiter compared to the stock tires.

Steel casters would be quieter than stock.:D:

you must not have the spts, because the spt is remarkably quiet.

foxman 06-02-2006 09:51 AM

I have the Kumho Ecsta ASX, definitely a compromise tire since they are all season. Not as good dry pavement as the stockers. Definitely quiet and a little spongy feeling. They actually work in snow and ice and you are not taking your life into your own hands.
