My remote died so I installed a new battery now it wont work again becuase it needs to be re-programmed....well I went to the dealership last night it was late so the service dept. was closed but they estimated me a range from 50-100$ to reprogram? what does this consist of?

thanks I found that thread right after I posted mine...

 

Ok like I mentioned I checked that thread, printed the directions and its not working....After I hit the door switch 3 times it unlocks and auto locks 2-3 times and then the intstructions say to start over after 40's well one time it went through all of the procedures fine but it still didnt work after does anyone know whats going on?

 

$100 definetly is high. We charge a half hour which is about $45. You need both keys and sometimes it takes several attempts. If it is not working, you might have a dead remote. But you should not pay $100

 

make sure you have the trunk and hook closed.. check them..

The wait 40s part is only if the doors DO NOT LOCK / UNLOCK. The instructions on that 4th page of the DIY thread worked for me. Try looking over the steps again, forget the boxes on the side.
