KBB.COM TOP 1O road trip cars

Don't post much here but I'd share an article on the top ten road trip cars according to kbb.com readers. The 8 takes the 8th spot.

I haven't taken my 8 on a long road trip but I've read on here that others have and found it pretty comfortable. Anyway here's the link, sorry if repost.

I drove my 8 from southeastern Massachusetts to Indianapolis for the Revolution, and it was a very comfy ride.I never wished I waas in another car.I just got out to stretch at each fuel stop, and felt great.I was worried that the lack of cushioning in the cloth seat was going to bother me,but it did not.I even drove through hours of snow in OH,and PA on the way home, and never felt unsafe. The snow was not accumulating on the roadways, but still it was coming down pretty good(there was a toyota 4Runner flipped on the median),and the car never felt bad at all. This was all on the stock rubber as well.I wouldn't hesitate taking the car on another long road trip again.I averaged 22.9 MPG o nthe trip as well,as I was keeping the tach below the 3750 point as much as I could, and I had my friend in his Honda Element busting a large hole in the air in front of me.

My RX8 sees the I10 stretch between Houston and New Orleans frequently.

Did that! Coming through western Maryland there was near whiteout conditions, but the car didn't miss a beat through all the snow. (I was ready to pull off the road had they become slippery, but fortunately, it didn't happen.) Averaged 60 mph for the 9-hour trip from Indy to Chambersburg, PA and just over 21 mpg traveling 75-80 mph most of the way. Wonderful long distance car.!!

D'an, you beat me to it. I was glad to see the 8 get recognized because I've taken it up the California coast twice since I got it a year ago and plan to take it up again this weekend, and then to Vegas in July. It is a dream road trip car -- so smooth and fast and just hugs the road. I love driving it long-distance and guess what, the mileage doesn't really become an issue in those long stretches. :p

I got to take mine down to Ft. Lauderdale from Baltimore. I was actually surprised at how well it or rather I did in it. About once a month I travel from Baltimore to NYC for a weekend and usually my back will hurt after an hour and a half, but didnt have any problems on the longer trip
