just hit 49,000 - warranty

well i just hit the 49,000 Mile mark as the second owner, and was wondering if there was anything left i should get checked out by the dealer before my warranty runs out.

so far, the issues i have run into and have taken care of by dealership
-New Battery
-Changed out Engine Coolant sensor
-New rear tail light gasket
-re-welded clutch pedal bracket

also is there a way to check if your car has had all the recalls done? i have looked :uhh: through the MazdaUSA site and cant seem to find it.

also when should i change out coils/plugs/wires? i think someone mentioned 30K-40K right? but how can i know for sure that the previous owner hasn't done so already? i bought the car with 32,000Mi so i put about 12,000MI on the car in about 8 Months. [Majority Highway]

Plugs should have been changed at 30k-- I do mine every 15k cuz I'm a crazy SOB. You might want to check them out your self to see how there holding considering you bought the car at 32k

The dealership should be able to pull up any info that has been performed at any dealership. -- Start there. I've seen all the data that my car has up to this point from the dealer

Call Mazda at the toll free number. They should have that on file under your VIN.

From what I have read on here and what I am doing. Plugs and coils every 30K or so, wires at 60K. Some change the wires at 30K as well, but some knowledgeable folks on here said 60K since they don't wear out that fast.

If the servicing was done at the dealer, I doubt they changed the plugs and coils since its not supposed to be done every 30K like it should be at least.

I'd look for good 3rd party mechanic too.

alright thanks for clearing things up guys!

as for coils/wires/plugs going bad, are there any signs that i should notice when or if it does happen? just in case...

I personally didn't notice my engine feeling sluggish before I changed my plugs, but the mileage improved after I changed them so something positive was happening under the hood with new plugs. Changing out coils soon.

so I'm guessing you didn't change out the plugs/wires/coils at the same time. since I'm going to install an intake soon ill probably swap out all three at the same time for the convenience. just for curiosity, how much of an improvement did you see in your mileage? [or] before and after?
