Just hit 20,000 Miles!
I know it's nothing extremely awesome, but it's been a good couple of years. Some history!
It's an 07 Galaxy Gray Sport model. I purchased her in late February in 2008 with 8,000 miles. To put the miles in perspective, I've driven 12k miles in 2 years. That is around 500 miles a month. I've daily driven her since then, while my 1988 RX-7 Turbo II was left on the sidelines. Don't get me wrong, I loved the 7, but the 8 had such a better feel to her. Granted, she is MUCH newer, so I'll blame that. So far, I've had absolutely no problems with her. Nothing has broke *Knock on wood*. So far, I've changed the tires on my stock wheels, and have also purchased snow wheel/tires. I've crashed into 2 snow banks due to a snow storm that wasn't supposed to have happened while I was in Nebraska last winter. I have changed the oil pretty religiously *Since I put such low miles on the car, at times I have waited 4 months before changing....mostly it's 3-4, though.* The receipts from Auto Zone have all but faded to white, so it's going to be damn near impossible to prove that I have done it if I need any work done. I've never needed to change anything else yet. Brakes are still good, fluids are in order....though I'm coming up to 30k! The only real aftermarket thing I've done is the Racing Beat cat-back. I want to get an AP sometime, along with a High Flow cat. I have a carbon fiber MS replica wing on, and am going for a black/carbon fiber trunk and hood, kind of as a nice dark gray with black on top color scheme...I'd do some sort of FI, but due to the warranty, I'll end up either just not doing anything or getting another RX-7 and play with it....gotta get more money first! I really want to take her out to a track. The nearest one is 2 hours away, and I'd like to get some friends to go with, as running around alone would be boring, plus I get nervous doing new things alone. I need to do some autox also....I just get excited thinking about it. TL;DR - Love the car and have no intentions of getting rid of her soon. |
woohoo! 20k miles and a lot left hopefully. I just passed 46k this weekend ><

What kind of oil do you put in?
How much miles you get to your tank? |
Nice...I've 840 on my '04. ;) Granted that's on the 3rd engine, LOL. 87k on the OD.
|
Im going on 4 years this May and I only have 18,000 miles on . I need to do more driving ......
|
Just hit 27k on my 05. I'm the 2nd owner.
|
Damn...I put 10k on mine in less than 6 months. This year it will likely be 20k if I do a road trip I'm thinking of. Gonna be at 50k pretty quick.

How much miles you get to your tank? If I'm babying it I can get about 220 city driving. The way I want to drive it, though, nets me about 180-200, so around 15 mpg. |

Once again a "tank" is roughly and loosely interpreted. Don't use the technical size, use how many gallons it takes you to fill the car up to calculate accurate MPG.

29K on my 2004. Not quite to 30K

Sounds about right. My car even when dead on E, only fills up usually between 13-14. Once, just once, when it was on E for 30 minutes it was over 14 gal.
