Long time listener, first time caller...

Hi everyone,

I recently had a '04 Subaru Impreza and, after much soul-searching, I traded it in for a '07 RX-8 GT.

Before taking the jump, I found this forum and scoped around, easedropping on some your conversations and absorbing the wealth of info you guys have on the subject.

Thanks a million. It helped me make my decision and now that I have the 8, I have had one of the most fun weeks of driving in my life.

I promise to try to keep my trap shut around here, unless I have something useful to contribute.

As long as you don't ask questions that are very commonly asked (ie what oil should I use) or freak out about common issues (ie sun visor breaking, mileage) you'll be fine. Feel free to post useless things (ie good job, pie, search) though

Welcome and congrats!

welcome aboard and please do contribute. as said earlier the only ones that are annoying are people that want to be spoon fed somethign that has been answered before and you can tell by how they ask the question. those and the people that are just trolling and looking to start e-fights.

if you've given an honest shot at searching and can't find the answer or just want to share about your car or anything else you should. after going through the sticky threads and searching you will still have some questions but at least those will answer the general questions.

bah. If we all did that there'd only be about 100 threads on the site. Plus some of our members would be soooooo bored.

Welcome!

Thanks for the warm welcome all.

I do have a question about ATs but I am going to scrounge through the stickies first.

No, just a keener once upon a time.

You a Tool fan? I have the Aenima album your avatar is from and I think it was some of their best work. I have it in my RX-8's CD changer now, as a matter of fact.

What color

What color did you get? Just curious...

You got me, Tool would be very high up my list of favoraite musical groups, I caught several stops on the tour this year and one last Good stuff.

There is a true artist up in Canada that makes model "garage kits" of lots of the old Robotech / Macross mecha, I picked up a couple copies of the Regult / Battle pod (your avatar) from him last year, just curious if there was another commonality there.

Again congrats on the car, I hope you still have that RX-8 grin on your face!

Welcome and enjoy the experience. I've owned my 8 for a little over a month now and love it completely as well. You made a good choice.

Cheers

Galaxy Grey... I'll post pictures once they get around to installing the performance package (spoiler, new rims, etc.).

Sweet! Has he got a website I could take a look at? Although the Glaug / Officer's Pod is pretty awesome, I have always had a soft spot for the Regult. Does he do any models of the standard Z armour?

Actually, I've seen more 8's since I moved here than I ever did while living in London. I guess it's all relative.

Thumbs up

Hi All
Would just like to back up wot Khyron has posted, I too have just purchased an "04" 6 speed manual in velocity Red, having never had a rotary before (always admired them) I found this forum a useful tool to help with purchasing the RX8 especially after salesman cold flooded the first one I went to test drive, good to read threads on that one!. As car is pretty stock at the moment I am currently searching internet for availability of accessories here in New Zealand, good to read the members info on different rear wings e.t.c. keep it up guys.

the funniest thing is that that entire post had nothing to contribute to this thread. if only mugatu could score points in his own book.

congrats on the 8, you will only apprecriate your purchase as time goes on.

sure it did. my post was completely relevant to the OP's message. It reinforced the fact that he said he would do his homework before thinking of posting. i wish more new members would use such common sense.

your post had in fact had nothing to contribute. for that I puke on you
