Got yanked for my blue LED marker lights... It sucks because I've had my parking lights in for months and cops never had a problem. Looks like I'll be switching to bright whites so if anyone wants to buy my blue marker and parking bulbs PM me.

 

I would have tried to play it off as being stock HID"s haha....

Well I am kinda suprised because like I said I've had just my parking lights on when a cop was coming straight at me several times and never been pulled. The cop was cool about it and just told me to change them or I would get a ticket next time.

 

cops can be a serious pain in the *** at times. Like your blue markers are endagering our civilians.

RX8strakes.com wants 19.99 for the parking and 14.99 for the markers and I just want to get rid of them so lets say....$15-20. I just installed markers today. Parking are about 2 months old.

Umm, the cops are idiots??? I think that the person that knowingly modifies their car in an obviously illegal way is the idiot. Cops are doing there job and the laws are written by legislature. Go ahead and argue that the legistature is stupid and the law is pointless but calling the cops idiots for enforcing the law is very juvinile.

As far as the law being pointless, I am going to say I like the law. If I see blue lights coming down the street or from behind me I dont want to wonder if it is a Cop, I want to know it is a cop, get out of the way and let them do their job. It might be my family or friends they are going to help.

Well i kinda agree with you but at the same time all emergency lights like cops, ambulances, ect. are flashing lights. These aren't so they should be all good. So the cops aren't idiots, whoever created that law are idiots.

 

Take it easy mr sensitive, I agree that they arent 'idiots' but some of these laws they enforce strictly are ridiculous. While they are pulling over juvenile drivers with blue side markers, they could be helping people who are really in need.

 

And you would have been sitting on the curbs saying... "I don't understand why they towed my car."

Really? tell that to the women who pull over and get rapped by someone who turned on ther blue running lights and walked over to their car with a fake police uniform.

 

^ lol hahaha , i agree tho some laws are ridiculous and just a waste of time. But blue lights usually refer to emergency vehicles like cops and what not. But what about green lights? Yeah...exactly :P. Explain to me why they dont allow other colors? I guess because it blinds the civilian and can potentially cause an accident? Lol PLEASE

 

eh, Im just going to bite my tongue, I dont feel like getting into a battle over these laws. Cops and law enforcement are a touchy subject for some people.

Not sure about this but, I think that exhaust is illegal and 8000k headlights are too.

i have blue lights and i have blue license plate lights (thanks volcom now i know why you sold them to me so cheap -_-) lol. but i went through a check point last night . and they didnt say a think.


but then again. i may not be so lucky next time. plus i think the license plate lights is really hard to tell if they are a diffrent color if another set of lights are flashing on them.

 

Had the same problem. Had my blue leds installed for a month or something and got pulled over. Switched to super white. Looks good too.

 

No but I am tired of cars and motorcycles with extremly loud exhasut setting off car alarms at 2AM, and people with 8000k headlights blinding me while I drive and people with riced out cars who drive with their heads up their A** and all these people say is "Those laws are stupid, I am not hurting anyone". If its illegal take responsibility for your poor choices dont complain that the cops are waisting your time or that they are stupid because they stop you. Its immature, irresponsible and dangerous.

Oh I forgot the excuse, "But I am not one those people who "fill in the blank". The problem is nobody admits to being that person but someone is and because someone uses blue lights illegaly, sets off car alarms or whatever then we all have to abide by the same laws and th cops have to enforce the laws on everyone.

Lights colors should only uniform for all cars so that the motorists know what they are looking at. In the middle of the night when you see blinking amber or red lights on the side of the road you know it is a car. If someone saw blue lights they think emergency vehicle, if you see green you do know what to think.
