JDM RX-8's Gas Mileage

I was browsing through the net today, and run by this:
http://www6.tok2.com/home2/jcese/RX-...rx-8_nenpi.htm

it shows jdm version of RX-8 are getting about 10.6L/100km. Which it's what it stated by Mazda here in Canada. Also, what's interesting is..the guy posted almost the same gas mileage for FairladyZ (350z) and RX-8. Could this mean, the JDM version doesn't have gas mileage problem, like we are getting here?
Could a JDM ECU chips be a solution to our problem?

Average.....

I don't get it.......where does he get 10L/100k?

His rolling average at the bottom says he gets exactly 8 kilometers per litre.

That would be 400 kilometers (245 miles) per 50 litre fill....exactly what I got since day-one. 23 mpg. (19+ US)

At the beginning of the post... where he have listed all the cars... it has 9.4km/L..... divide 100 by 9.4.... you get 10.6 km/100L

All japanese. What's this, a tuner? Besides. without additional info, these figures are meaningless. You might get a low fuel use with an 8, if you never speed it, always stay on the ideal road etc, i.e. like nobody, who buys an 8 would ever drive. I'm sure no city user will ever get that low and it's purely individual.

Anyone here able to translate this page? :)
