I got mine on the S plan, so it was $26303, but the MSRP on it was $28235.

But from what Ive been hearing most people are negotiating (with little hassle) down to invoice, which would be around the S plan price.

I love the manual, I actually look forward to shifitng.

See, now I'm starting to crack. Today I went to my Mazda dealership and worked out some preliminary numbers, a little tricky cuz I'm planning on returning my Protege5 on lease 2 years early. Good thing is that the Protege 5 has really kept it's value, they are selling used now at $700 (Canadian) less then what I paid for it 2 years ago, sweet!

I am currently test driving a Silver GT which I have to return on Monday night, I've only drivin it 60Kms and I don't want to give it back. It looks like a deal will be done on Monday, may have it by the end of the week!

This is all sorts of messed up. Is this from the perspective of a woman? Cuz I never give BJs. And this kind of attitude won't be coming from MY wife!!!

I'm on day 2 of my test drive and am loving every minute of it, I have put on 350 Kms since I picked it up with a full tank yesterday afternoon and am showing just over 1/4 tank of fuel left, I should be able to hit 400 Kms or more without problems. My shifting has been anywhere between 3000 - 5000 RPM with a few 6000's, not really pushing the car much yet. So far I think the mileage is good considering it only had 13 Kms on it when I picked it up. This will most likely be the car I will own by the end of the week, I'm signing on the dotted line on Monday night when I return it.

Just a couple of things:

1. My shifter vibrates at idle pretty good, as well it moves up and down as I go over certain bumps. The vibrating I'm sure is normal, the up and down I have not seen before not even on my older 7's. Does it do this because of the main brace tieing the enging to the rear end? or should this not be happening at all?

2. The blind spot issue that we had a thread about is in my books a non issue. With my drivers mirror adjusted just right I can see everything, the other side is just fine. I have been driving with my mirrors for years, I don't look over my shoulders as I find that very dangerous as you're taking your eyes off what's going on ahead of you.

3. I love the car, I'm going to miss driving it until I take delivery of it at the end of the week. The delay is for the installation of the MP3 player.

Welcome Cam... "welcome" that's funny... I've been here three weeks Three weeks and 750 miles... and:
I'm still looking for excuses to drive somewhere!
I just bought a Radio Controlled version of my car - it's even the right color!
I wash the car on the weekend, wipe it down (California Car Duster) each day before I go anywhere...
I park WAY away from the other cars in every parking lot... and...
I won't drive it in the rain! (I have an old Jeep also) - this one has got to wear off!

I've turned into one of "those guys"!

It doesn't wear off.

What's that California Car Duster?

Where in the world did you get that RC RX-8 in Velocity Red?

I would like to hear more of your parking lot parking tactics...
