It's that time of year again!
 

Going home for the holidays is always fun, right? Not really. Yesterday morning my mother decided to move my 8 to another drive-way. She thought she was trying to help me by not waking me up, but little did she know that the RX-8 needed to be idled and warmed up before shutting the engine off. Now my car is dead, and I have no way of getting back to work right now. The process of keeping your car alive takes about 4-5 minutes, and in cold temperatures its best to leave it on for 10. Mazda is still fighting with me about coming to get it. So, if you don't want this to happen like it has happened to me 3 times ('05 model, month old spark plugs and battery) give your car some lovin' for 5-10 and she will stay happy :smoker:



And yes, for a futuristic, supposedly reliable car this does happen often. This is a problem from the past, and it shouldn't happen at all these days. But hell, quality in everything is going down-hill...


If Mazda will not honor your Warranty for some reason:

"Slap that service manager across the face. You have a Warranty for a reason. If they will not honor it, demand to take it to the District Manager.
Next try contact them through their website

If that doesn't work, Call 1-800-222-5500

Best yet, send a snail mail LETTER!! You will be amazed how much more response you get from a letter.

Sorry to hear that bro, the first thing I did when I learned about flooding was warn everyone I live with not to move the car without warming it up first, unless they're going for a drive. My cousin is so afraid to flood it she sets an egg timer to make sure the 8 gets a full 7 minutes to reach temp before she shut it off :lol:
