I just got the ipod itegration module installed into my 06 and it is nice but i am a little unclear about using the controls, does any one know the correct functions of the radio controls for the ipod?

Didn't it come with instructions?

I haven't gotten mine yet because I had to spend the money I was going to use to get a new cell phone.

Where did you get this? Is it a dealer accessory? I have an 04 and an iPod I'd be interested in marrying together.

I know there are aftermarket kits for this sort of thing, but I'd feel better about getting hardware officially sanctioned by Mazda.

this is the mazda integration module , it retails for 250 installed but with my employee price i paid 110 and me and my buddy installed it but instead of having it come out the glove box mine comes out the center console, when you plug it in it shows the mazda symbol on your ipod

i've got one of those a few months ago and i still am having problems trying to navigate. mine is in the glovebox so nobody can see it when i have it in. the little module box i put up underneath the center panel on the dash since there was plenty of room up under there. heres a pic of the kit i got from Rosenthol Mazda.

My mom told me that she was considering getting it for me for Christmas. I get a discount at my dealership so it's only $200 installed for me.

look for "iPod Integration Module User Manual - NEW"...you should have gotten these instructions with everything else. Look again. There are installation instructions for every make of Mazda in every language on earth. Buried in this mass of stuff is a manual for usage.................

Stock iPod integration from Mazda has a really confusing/poor user interface. Good luck figuring it out, I am not brave enough to get one to then have to deal with it.

OK, read the top post here. A good summary of how it works.

Get the Audiolink version from TheRPMStore... you're a damn fool if you don't, it works great and installs cleanly. I drilled a small hole in the latch plug of my center console so the iPOd hangs out in there. Couldn't be happier with it.

This thing is a waste of money. I can't imagine trying to deal with it, like Astral said. Look over its thread in the Rosenthal vendor section before buying.

Hey, it works great for me. Sounds like all the whiners never tried to hook up a home theater system and if they did would complain that there wasn't some technician in the room with them on retainer yelling "you're watching the TV now!!!"..

Simply leave it in playlist mode, jump to each playlist like you would a CD and listen to your hearts content. The upside being you don't have to contort all over the car looking for new CD's.........

..........Like I said, I love it. Simply saves me an extra step from syncing my IPod and slapping it into the car without having to burn CD's everytime that get lost in the car................

Mine is great.............thanx

Does anyone know of a similar module for the Zune?
(To volk, it's not about the sound through the system. For that, what you said works fine. It's about controlling the player through the steering wheel controls, changing tracks, etc).

Thanks
