Instrument/gauge locations

I did a search, but couldn't find anything about this.

I noticed that my 8 has the oil pressure guage on the right side of the tach, while others have it on the left...?

Is this a RHD vs. LHD design?

Correct me If I am wrong.

Its the LHD cars vs RHD cars. Mine is a RHD and the oil gauge is on the left.

What do you think the purpose of this is? Wouldn't be easier to keep the exact same inst. cluster?
