I love the Kabura

I'd buy one in a heartbeat. That's all I've got to say. Fascinating, I know...

It's a very cool little car, and again, you should have just posted in one of the Kabura threads ;)

Hey, are you following me around the board? You may be right of course. I check into the site a few times a week, always to see owner's pics...

However, one every few months I unload a bunch of posts on the discussion board -- I admit I haven't loked so much at existing topics...

Unfortunately, on the show circuit the Kabura engine bay was stuffed with a piston engine IIRC.

However, this car is probably built off the 8's platform and could easily be fitted with a 2 or 3 rotor. I would make big sacrifices if they'd turbo a 20B and price it some where in the low 40s. Four hundred plus horsepower without even trying; and huge aftermarket tuning potential!

Who wants to start a petition?

You're going to need a pretty massive petition. The Kabura is supposed to be a ~$20k entry level car. I doubt it'll have a rotary at all much less a turbo 20b. But we can dream I suppose.

BTW, this should have probably gone in the General Automotive section of the forum. Not the end of the world, but ya know, obeying rules is fun!

For the 58th time, a 20B/3-rotor engine will NOT pass standard emissions, so you would at least assume that Mazda won't put it into production.

Raptor2k 03-06-2006 12:25 AM

So....when? How much potential is there to better tuning?

BunnyGirl 03-06-2006 12:28 AM

I think it would be far too cost prohibitive to put in a car that is supposed to cost around $20K.

Raptor2k 03-06-2006 12:28 AM

You just said it will...

From every other post I've seen, any 20B would not pass emissions. What's the OBDII?

I mean, I do hope I'm wrong and I drool over the possibility of a 3 rotor, but I'd appreciate it if you could go into detail.
