I just bought a 2004 rx8

I just bought a 2004 rx8 and was wondering if anyone had any pointers or tips. I've heard they can be hard to drive if you dont know what your doing.
Thank in advance for your help.

The 8 is a pretty easy car to drive. I think the maintenance is what you are refering to. You need to search, read, and get educated on the maintenance requirments yourself. If you rely on others, somehting will get missed and you could end up with problems. There are a few FAQ's in this section IIRC and a lot of discussion all over this sire. Get familliar with what section you need to look in to find the information you are looking for and you should be all set.

Oh......Read your owners manual. lots of good info there. Seriously, don't just flip through it, read it. Should not take very long and it will get you pointed in the right direction for the rest of your research.

(That's RX8Club-speak for, "We'd love to see pictures of your new car!")

Welcome to the club. Enjoy!

Sell it and run, the 2004 RX8 model has the recall where the air bags for no reason seem to deploy when driving at speed. And I would recommend rotating the tires every weekend, because the 8 is notorious for tire explosions, sending the car into tumbling barrel roll. Seriously...get out of it while you can

:mchase:

Prepare to get more intimate with this car than you have ever gotten with a car before. This car needs your care and attention, but it rewards you by being an RX-8.

Congrats on the purchase, and the extra care really isn't that much.

This car is really hard to drive. You can't use the cell phone and text at the same time.

You got suckered.

True Dat. I just spent the evening washing, cleaning the interior, checking and topping off the oil, and going at the exhaust tips with Eagle One Never Dull. But man, is this car sweet. Can't wait to drive it tomorrow!
