I changed engine

Hi guys I hope anyone can help me I have a few problems
ok, I changed my rx8 engine a Put a Japanese engine with 45k miles, the engine start very good when its cold but doesnt start when warm up, but the big problem is then warm up, the engine get stop, and I push the gas pedal and not accelerate very well, also check engine light comes on but I put the reader code, and doesnt has any code. I know then I need a special compression tester but I used a convencional tester and the engine has 90 psi in each rotor.

The engine comes with ECM so Do i need Change the ECM?

The 90psi your tester measured is meaningless, that's just the maximum of the 3 faces on each rotor. You really need a proper comp test.

You don't need to change the ECM. It sounds like there are multiple issues in play for you:
- possibly low compression
- ECU light but not code (with a generic scan tool) often turns out to be the OMP (oil metering pump). Inability to accelerate beyond about 4000 rpm is indicative of this too. Check the wiring connections around it (it's under the battery, attached to the engine block). If you can get the car to a Mazda dealer they could pull the codes and do a compression test for you at the same time.
- as far as stalling out while warming up, again could be compression but could be a vacuum leak. Re-check all the vacuum connections for loose ends and incorrect connections. You may need this to figure out how everything plugs together: M A Z D A
